Thinking about doing a small busness outside of Tucson, AZ. I'll need to dig footings, post holes, spread rock, clear cactus, clean horse corrals and the like. Most jobs will be within a 5 mile radias of my house. Most jobs will be on 1 acre lots. I'm thinking some tight areas and rockey terrian. I'm estamating most jobs will be aprox 2hr. worth of work. If things get busy I could be doing 6 hr per day 4 days a week.(I don't want to ware myself out in the AZ heat) Is the B7800 a good choice? Is there a better choice? Tires? Thanks for any advice. I have a B7800 I live in Oregon and the ground here is lava and sandy type soil with pine trees and bitterbrush. I use a rear blade and box scraper to clear the brush and it works well I also had the tooth bar put on the fel and it digs a lot better with the bucket than without the tooth bar. The tractor sits high enough it gets over the brush in the woods and is very stable. I think this model would work well for your projects. I didnt get the backhoe which you may want to dig footings unless they are real shallow and not house cuts. Im sure the 7800 would do house cuts also it just would take time with the fel. They have a lot of power and I have never had any problems with land clearing yet. ....

Getting into the commercial end a B-21 might give you a lot more power for digging and might be a little smaller do to the B-hoe size. ....

Thanks Guys, Art that B-21 looks like it might hold up a little better here in AZ. By the time I get all the goodies for a b7800 I'll be into it big time. With the b21 I'll have enough to get starterd right away. I'll still need a digger and a box scraper. I like the idea the b-21 has shade. That hard to find around here. Todd ....

Tires: I have had very good service out of turf or turf like tires in my high desert environment. I assume the ground in AZ is similar to Northern Nevada.

For sure and certain, you don't want R-1's. ....

Todd, the B-21 will live under what you want to do for a long time. The hoe will out perform the B-7800's and so will the loader. The only advantage that the B-7800 would have is the belly mower but you didn't list that as a job. Time is money when working so do it right the first time. Many homeowners may run a comparable B-7800 and get your work on the weekends, stand out and make a statement with your work quality and equipment. ....

Thanks again for the info in ref. to b7800 vs b21. Nice pic. Mark. I only wish our country looked like yours. I think I'm leaning to Ind. type tires R4? Looks like they have some tread but a flat surface at the same time. I'll be going over eveything from horse shoe nails to barrel cactus with 3" thorns. The b21 has less power, but eveything else seems more suited for the type of work I'll be doing. Hope it holds up to the AZ heat. That's the hardest thing on equip. around here. Thanks Todd ....
